Retro SkyBlock Rules & Regulations

Welcome to Retro SkyBlock! To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review our server rules below.

1. Gameplay & Conduct

Scamming & Griefing (In-Game): 

Scamming a player in-game for items or in-game money is not against the rules, and you will not be punished for this. Griefing or stealing from a player's island or builds on SkyBlock is also not against the rules, and you will not be punished for it.

Real-Life Money Scams: 

Scamming with real-life money is strictly prohibited. For example, if you promise another player you will buy them a rank from the webstore in exchange for in-game money or items, and you fail to pay them the promised in-game goods after they buy the rank, you will be permanently IP banned from Retro SkyBlock with no chance of being unbanned.

Respecting Players & Staff: You must maintain a high level of respect for all members (including staff) when on the Retro SkyBlock server and Discord server.

Banter vs. Disrespect: Friendly banter is allowed and encouraged on the server; however, staff may be unable to distinguish banter from genuine disrespect, so please be careful in these situations. Do not take anything too far, and if asked to stop by staff, you must do so.

2. Client Modifications & Exploits

Illegal Modifications: No modded clients or macros are allowed. Autoclickers or any other form of automatic keystrokes are strictly prohibited, whether it is a downloadable macro or a pre-installed program.

Allowed Clients: Clients that do not provide unfair advantages, such as Badlion, Lunar Client, and Feather Client, are allowed. If it is unclear whether your client of choice contains unfair modifications, please consult a staff member before using it on the server.

Bug Exploitation: Taking advantage of any server glitches or Minecraft glitches is a bannable offense.

Reporting Bugs: If you discover any bugs or glitches, you must report them to staff immediately via a Discord report or in-game private messaging. Do not discuss these exploits with other players.

3. Chat & Community Safety

Prohibited Language: Racial, homophobic, and sexual slurs will not be tolerated and will always result in a mute. Sexually explicit comments are also not tolerated and will result in a mute.

Inappropriate Cosmetics: Joining the server with an inappropriate skin, username, or nickname is not tolerated. This includes player skulls, heads, and banners. If you do not change the inappropriate item after being asked by staff, you will be temporarily banned.

Player Trapping: Death traps are not permitted. Any form of AFK, Spawn, or TP trap will result in a temporary ban and the removal of the items gained by the trap.

4. Account Limits & Bypassing

Alt Accounts & Bypassing: Joining the server on an alternate account after being punished will result in a ban or an extended punishment on both accounts. Continuous bypassing will result in an IP Ban.

Account Limits: You are allowed to have a maximum of 3 total accounts on the server at once per IP/household. Joining with more will result in a ban.

Island Limits: You are only allowed to play on, and have islands for, 3 total accounts per season. You are not permitted to create more than 3 islands, and you may face the deletion of extra (or all) islands if you do not comply with this rule.

Account Responsibility: You are responsible for the actions taken on your account, regardless of any shared arrangements. We recommend that every player maintains sole, unshared ownership of their Minecraft account to prevent any problems.

5. Server Performance & Lag Protocols

Intentional Lag: Creating devices or redstone contraptions to intentionally lag the server is strictly prohibited. Administration reserves the right to remove or delete such devices if they are found on your island.

Cobble Monsters: Cobble genning or creating "cobble monsters" is not allowed, as it bears a heavy load on our server hardware.

Anti-Lag Measures: Anti-lag measures (such as mob, item, or entity stacking) may be implemented at any time to reduce server lag.

6. Administration Bans

Administration reserves the right to issue bans for the following reasons:

Continuous bad faith or excessive problematic behavior after previous punishments have been issued.

Serious inconvenience or major disruption caused to a specific individual of the Management or Administration team.

7. Seasonal Rules (Season 2)

Seasonal rules are temporary changes made to the rules for the duration of a season, and all players will be made aware of any changes.

Alternate Islands (Season 2): Alternate islands are NOT ALLOWED. If you need to utilize an alt account, you may only create an island to enable the /is coop command for that account. You may not build, store items, test, or play on the island in any way. Breaking this rule will result in the island being wiped, no items will be returned to you, and a ban may be placed on your account depending on severity.

AFK Sellwands (Season 2): Using your Sellwand while AFK is NOT ALLOWED. If you are caught AFKing with your sellwand, it will be removed from your account and you will be banned for 30 days. Retro SkyBlock will not issue a refund or give compensation if you AFK with your sellwand.

Enforcement & Disclaimers

Rule Updates: Retro SkyBlock Management reserves the right to update and change these rules at any time. Important rule changes or additions will be announced publicly in our Discord server.

Loopholes: Attempting to find loopholes and exploiting the rules will not be tolerated.

Punishments: Staff do not seek to punish players; it is the last resort. Staff also do not pick "favorites"—players are punished based on their recent history and behavior.
